Matterelli Traps

My name is Graham Perry. I am the owner of Hanley Sporting Grounds located near Hanley Saskatchewan about 40 minutes South of Saskatoon.

Before I built my range I wanted to make sure that I had the best traps built for low breakage and the reliability of the machine. I spent 3 years in Canada and the US. visiting ranges and checking out various makes of machines. The one machine that impressed me over all others was the Matterelli. These machines are assembled and distributed by Briley Mfg. out of Houston TX. Briley is the leader in chokes, subgauge tubes and other Shotgun accessories. Their quality and reputation is unmatched.

Matterelli traps are well known in Europe. Their fame was built on ATA Traps machines and they are the leader in Bunker Trap systems. As Sporting Clays grew so did Matterelli and they now offer a complete line of traps for all Sporting Clay targets. After 5 years of use with over 40 machines on my course I can attest to their durability, low maintenance, ease of adjustment and low breakage of targets.

I have owned and or worked on most all makes of machines and I won’t own anything but Matterelli for my course. As of 4 years ago I became the Canadian Distributer for Matterelli. Also new for this year is the Octivia which is a 200 target machine with full vertical adjustment. It throws like the Big Boys but retails for only $1600.00 US.
